I felt younger, lighter, happier in body; within I was conscious of a heady recklessness, a current of disordered sensual images running like a millrace in my fancy, a solution of the bonds of obligation, an unknown but innocent freedom of the soul.”

Dr. Jykl is a personal work, based on the famous Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson.

The piece utilises anaglyphic 3D colour to produce a hallucinogenic effect, the image itself seeks to draw a connection between coffee and the elixir within the original story.

Completed in 2014, ink on paper, digital colouring & finish.
